#Cobbed

Here is the story on how #Cobbed came to be. It actually starts back in 2011 from a tweet by Twitter personality, @dril

Over the years, people started using the "corn cob" to represent a self-own on Twitter. Then one day Julie Ann Johnson created this masterpiece after Candice Aiston (a lawyer with a political science degree and all around terrible Hillary stan, did one of her several self-owns a day:

A mutual of Julie's sent the tweet above so Candice could appreciate Julie's magnificent work but instead it was met with animosity. Candice claimed this was sexist (ironically cobbing herself again in doing so).

After that comment, @PrettyBadLefty came forward and said he'd take a Cornbrowing to prove there is nothing sexist about it. Then a bunch of Lefties jumped in. Julie was getting so many requests I asked to help her out. This is how I first began cobbing.

Right around this time The Institute for Progressive Memetics was formed. I was recruited to help do some of my crappy memes at the time but in joining them, I finally pushed myself to learn Photoshop with a lot of help from the members of IPM.

With this, #Cobbed came to be and I just went with it.
